This Cookie Policy explains how Dolarchand uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) on the website at dolarchand.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. By using the website you agree to the strictly necessary technologies described below; other categories, if any, are used only where permitted.
1. What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small text file a website can store in your browser. Local storage is a related browser technology that lets a site save small amounts of data on your device. Both let a site remember information between visits (such as your preferred theme or language) without identifying you personally.
2. How we use them
Dolarchand is built to use as little of this technology as possible. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party cross-site tracking or marketing networks. We use:
- Strictly necessary technologies. A small amount of local storage and, where applicable, essential cookies required for the site to function and be served securely, for example, remembering your theme (light/dark) and language, and security measures applied by our infrastructure provider. These cannot be switched off through the site because the site would not work correctly without them.
- Preference storage. Your on-site preferences (such as selected assets and view options) are kept in your browser's local storage on your device and are not sent to us as part of a profile.
We do not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
3. Third-party and infrastructure cookies
Our hosting and content-delivery provider may set strictly necessary cookies to deliver content efficiently and protect the Services from malicious traffic. The mobile apps and browser extension do not use website cookies; they store your preferences in app or extension storage on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. How to control cookies and storage
- Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings. Search your browser's help for "cookies" or "site data".
- You can browse in a private/incognito window, which clears site data when you close it.
- Blocking strictly necessary technologies may cause parts of the site to stop working or to forget your preferences.
- For the apps and extension, clearing app/extension storage or uninstalling removes locally stored preferences.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Services evolve. Changes take effect when we update the "Last updated" date above.
