The Turkish lira (TRY) is the official currency of Türkiye, issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye. Türkiye is one of Iranians' most visited foreign destinations — visa-free travel, shopping, study and medical care — and in recent years property purchase and residency in Istanbul and beyond have added to lira demand, making it one of the most traded currencies in Iran's market.
What sets the lira apart on this list is Türkiye's own high inflation: like the Toman, the lira keeps weakening against the dollar, just more slowly. As a result the lira's Toman price climbs far more slowly than the dollar's — and in some stretches barely moves at all, as the rising free-market dollar and the falling global lira cancel each other out.
Circulating banknotes are 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 lira. For day-to-day travel spending the 50 and 100 notes are the most practical; Iranian exchange shops take all denominations.
As of today, Turkish Lira is about 4,230 Toman on Dolarchand, an increase of 120 Toman from yesterday's 4,110 Toman.

Because the lira itself keeps weakening against the dollar. Its Toman price is the global USD/TRY rate combined with the free-market dollar; when both move at once, part of the dollar's rise is cancelled by the lira's global fall.
Lira is easy to find in Iran at competitive spreads and works well for arrival expenses. Some travellers also carry part in dollars or euros and convert there; compare this page's rate with destination exchange offices.
